TABOO

 

Cards will consist of a “Term” that the player is trying to get his team to guess along with 5 other words or terms that are off limits for the player. The target “term” should be on the top line of the card, with the other 5 word below.

“Off limits” means no version or tense of the word may be used. Players are also prohibited from saying “sounds like,” “rhymes with,” or “starts with.”

We will play in 2 teams. When a player from one team is making an attempt, a player from the other team will be in charge of timing the attempt and officiating for word infractions. (This player should be the “next-in-line” for the opposing team.)

 

Players will attempt to master as many cards as possible on their timed turn. Mastered cards are worth 2 points. Card infractions deduct 2 points. Cards may be skipped for a 1 point penalty.
